Introducing EcoSimplify

In the midst of our busy schedule back in uni, the four of us decided to sign up for the NEXT Challenge Programe. As time goes by, we found ourselves picking up interest in the activities bit by bit.

Part of the program is to come out and idea to start a business. After much brain storming sessions, the four of us finally settled with the idea of "Green Business". After many stages, our idea was chosen along with other groups idea to further proceed in Next (New Enterprise Exchange). In short, we are to create a company based on our respective business idea, and the company will be listed on NEXT. (Click HERE to find out what is NEXT)

So, there will be an upcoming trading competition, and our company is one of the company that will be traded. Certainly, we hope to win the competition by being the best performing company. Nevertheless, we will need supporters and fans to be interested in our company and trade our shares. How can you trade our shares? I can't remember when was the last time I said to someone "Friends Forever"...
Simply because I don't believe that a friendship that is builded less than 3 months will last...
Of course there are exceptions to it...you get what I mean...

I knew MissC for 7 years now and counting...

tonnes of stuff we did together...

We met each other during high school...in a rather unpleasant way...

Form 4 we sat together in class, and it remained that way till my very last day of high school...

together, we were the "tin har mou dek"....

I've always look up to MissC ...

For me, she's the super woman..

During the high school days

She's my walking dictionary, my entertainment player, my calculator, my fashion guru, my hands, my inspiration, my motivator, my cut class partner etc...

It was MissC that I learned to appreciate reading and write better English..

MissC accompanied me and entertained me while feeling bored and cutting classes ...

I was inspired, motivated by her...

She's something that I would call perfect in my Lala Land...

Simply because my name begins with the letter "A" =)
yes!!! I love my name....

Inspired by Anne Boleyn from the Tudor period, I always wear an "A" pendant around my neck =)
(Anne Boleyn wears a B around her neck..The Boleyn Family is a noble English family particularly prominent in the Tudor period)
Well, I like the letter A not only for my name...there are other reasons to it...

I'm very proud to share the same name as Audrey Hepburn =)
Friends of mine will know that I adore Audrey Hepburn very much....

This post is about an experience of mine...feeling bloated for 2 consecutive days...
I normally don't do this.. but I'm feeling really happy and good...
so I thought that maybe I should share some, or perhaps posting it as a memory...
I'm sorry to say that there were no pictures because I wasn't expecting the awesome meals....
but let me assure you that you don't need pictures to know how delicious and yummy the food taste...

My Hard Rock Cafe experience...
The first time I stepped into Hard Rock Cafe was during my birthday, in Singapore...
That was then...this time....I'm stepping into Hard Rock Cafe, Kuala Lumpur!!! =D
Deciding on what to eat was a pain...everything seems yummy on the menu =)
The last time I ate was the famous legendary burger and roast garlic smashed potatoes for sides ...
this time is Hickory-Smoked Bar-B-Que - Duo Combo, and Twisted Mac & Cheese for sides
Well, we didn't order much since we didn't want a heavy meal...if you think is too little...
let me tell you, both of us (yeap, that is 2 pax), left Hard Rock with well satisfied and stuffed tummy =D

If you are similar to me, likes the steak to be smoked and topped with barbecue sauce, this is a great main course...and the sides...if you enjoyed eating Kenny Roger's Mac & Cheese like I do..you will definitely like this too....x100,000,000,000 the yummy-ness =D
Well, how much I like the food there???
If I'm not lazy...and most important have infinite of cash (is pricey there *sighs* )...I will probably go there everyday???
hahaha...a bit over...but you get what I mean... =D

My Din Tai Fung experience...
I'm very lucky to have the chance to eat at all Din Tai Fung outlets in Malaysia =D
First at The Gardens, Mid Valley, then at Pavilion, and finally at The Empire Gallery, Subang...
I'm happy that I tried nearly all of their chef's recommendation dishes... *proud*
One word, paradise!!! =D
Their signature "xiao long bao" and dumplings are a must order, braised beef noodle is a must try, fried rice with shrimp and egg for rice lovers...etc...
I like Taiwanese food, and I personally think that they serve one of the finest Taiwanese cuisines, and all my experiences with Din Tai Fung were enjoyable...

I have a long list of my favorite restaurants, and the above 2 restaurants are definitely in the list and top of the list now!!! =D
Due to some constraints (very broke now *sobs*) my next visit will not be anytime soon... *emo*
But I will definitely going back there again!!! That's for sure!!! =D

I'm currently having a bad headache
which i totally no idea why..
It just decided to pay me a visit...
It's a suffering!!!!

Yes yes, headache....
I can take panadol and straight to nap...
but you see, I don't want to swallow anymore of that pills
if the pain is bearable...so I decided to just straight go to sleep...
Apparently, sleep is not on my side today...
I've been turning left right, right left, and left right again for more than 30mins...
And I'm still wide awake..neither is the pain gone....

A rather different Christmas of mine

Christmas carols, decorations and sales everywhere...
How can you not love Christmas???
The long waited jolly merry festival of the month had passed...
I'm assuming everyone had their fair share in this festive season...

It was a different Christmas for me this year...
I had a rather quiet Christmas, quiet but not boring...
And I actually enjoyed this rather quiet Christmas of mine...
It's something different...

I spent my Christmas staying in and reading "The Chronicles of Narnia"
from book 1 to book 7.... (not done yet but soon will)
I won't say I'm re-reading the book, because in fact I've not finish reading the book...
Reading 2 out of 7 books completely and a glimpse of other remaining ones years ago certainly not qualified for
"I've read The Chronicles of Narnia"
Hence, this time I'm gonna read all 7 books and in order!!!
And I'm loving every adventures and stories in the book...
I'm glad I had my Christmas spent this way =)

To everyone that I know and cherish much,
I like how 1 of my friends, Hazell said:
"You know it's the thoughts that counts and gifts are like.. bonuses!!"
So there you go, it's ok and cool if you did not buy me gifts or presents...
I won't be upset nor disappointed...I really won't =)

2 days of road trip was totally awesome!!!
The adventurous us went down south and back up north...
Items on the to-do-list,
Eat, eat, and eat....I guess Malaysia deserves all right to claim her title as "Food Paradise"
My craving for strawberries too has been well satisfied *wink*
Nothing beats hanging out with your peeps right after finals...
The crazy and funny moments, they totally rock!!!

So, I'm back in Kl now....Puchong to be exact... (duh)
and I've decided to make this sem break a fruitful one!!! =)
Yes, you heard me right.... a PRODUCTIVE sem break ...
I shall be realistic and keep my checklist short..
After all is only 3 weeks to a month of holidays...
The items on the checklist will be:

Clean up my room...yes, finals are over...I should put away the notes and text books and rearrange everything that is in my room.
Clear my wardrobe...I guess my ultimate motive is to clear out old clothes so i can make more room for the new ones =) I'm dying to get a new wardrobe!!!
Read!!! yes...I'm going to read!!! I've got a number of books yet to read and some yet to unwrapped...I do not want to see my money put into waste!!!

I guess the above 3 items are the essential ones..other tiny little things will be included along the way...=) I will be most proud and glad to see myself cross-out the 3 items above before the new sem starts...will you please remind me these 3 items if you happen to see me??? I'm just afraid that the checklist being flushed down to the drain... (knowing the person I am =S)

Falling for a guitarist is a recent thing, especially singing and playing on an acoustic guitar.

Sometimes I wish I can sing. Is not that I love singing or so interested in it,
but mainly because I totally can't sing. Is either tuneless or totally out of pitch.
Well, dancing. I've to admit that I love to dance.
But again,I don't have the talent in me =(
I can't move my body correctly, is so cacated lo whenever I dance, not flexible at all. And I was a ballet dancer =(
Anyways, I'm over it, only for "I can't dance", but not singing la.

So I woke up 4am today to catch US Open Men's final Federer vs Del Potro
Federer started off really good, he played many nice shots, and eventually took the first set.
I was thinking of a straight sets win, but the Argentine forced the 2nd set into the tie brake and took the 2nd set.
No straight sets, maybe 4 sets I think. But the Argentine was playing at the top of his game which then took the match to the fifth and deciding set.
It was really disappointing to see how Federer played in the final set.
Double faults, unforced errors, and then a 3-6 loss =(
Seriously, Federer was on the upper hand at the beginning of the match
and I really thought that he will win the title, making it his 16th title in his career, and 6 consecutive wins in the US Open.
Oh well, it's all over now. The results were set at 6-3, 6-7, 6-4, 3-6.

Random - Coins and Me

Some people don't like holding coins
I guess majority of them don't.
Including me..well, sometimes...
Mainly because they contribute weight to my wallet, and then make it bulky?
Anyway, that's not the point.
I like keeping coins though I don't like to hold coins, sometimes. (wth?)
See right, I always have contradictions, and I contradict myself countless time.
It's normal...(it's one of my weirdo-ness)
So, the main reason that I like keeping coins and holding them is because
they are ESSENTIAL!!! and they SAVED my day, few times.

Do you know the importance of a 10cent or a 20cent
Might not be relevant to you, but I see the importance of it =)
Coins are essential because I use them to pay toll.
Unlike you people who got endless credit of touch&go or smart tag,
I pay cash when passing tolls. Oh yea? Big deal?
Look, LDP toll is RM1.60
But most of the time I pay rm2, because I don't have 60cents.
For me, the toll wouldn't me rm1.60 anymore but rm2. Huh?
Say, my wallet has rm10
when I take out rm2 for toll, the balance will be rm8
but if I pay the exact amount, the balance will be rm9
The thing is, coins are not counted in your wallet
Which I think it's the same for many people.
I mean, how often you know or count the exact amount of coins you have in your wallet?
See my theory now?

If is not for coins, I would probably ended up in washing dishes...
They saved me from washing dishes, twice to be exact.
Once was when Carmen and I suddenly decided to eat steamboat while we were on the way home to her's. We stopped and got down from the bus at Puteri 7, our usual spot for steamboat (high school days).
The money we had was just enough for both of us to eat and an upgrade to herbal soup.
If my memory is right, we both paid using rm1 and rm5 notes and COINS, till the extent where 5 cents and 1 cent were used.
The other one was when Carmen, Ruey, Shan, and me went for steamboat at meizi. (yes, steamboat again)
We planned this, we knew our budget, and we were to eat accordingly.
But somehow, we miscalculated while ordering.
The bill came, short of money, but thank God for COINS, which saved our day.
At the end of the meal, our pockets were empty, all we had was 70cents? (after combining our remaining coins) so that Carmen could catch a bus home (we don't want her to walk home alone), she didnt but walked home instead. The remaining 3? well, we walked home together to Wawasan.
See how COINS saved my day?

Lastly, Coins prevent me from getting rip off by cab drivers.
Why so?
Say if your trip cost rm6.40 and you pay rm7 or rm10?
The cab driver will not give change for the former and change of rm3 for the after.
It's similar to my paying toll theory, and I'll feel cheated if I have to pay extra than the exact amount.
Since then, I've always believed in paying the exact amount if I ever take a cab.

My conclusion is
COINS are ESSENTIAL
and
they are VERY HANDY

I shall remain holding coins and keeping them

Dearest Friend,

This is written especially for you.
It took me quite a while to decide on this. At first I was just thinking to write to you, as in hand written; then I thought that it's better to tell you in person. But, you know me well enough that I'm never good at both above.

Friend, I've been thinking lately, on many many issues; from the day we became friends up till today. It's been a long journey, with many ups and downs. I still can't really believe that we actually made it this far. I'm glad, at the same time I feel guilty too. Mainly because I think that you put in more effort in this friendship than I do? Many times I feel that I've done not enough. Many times I feel that I'm never good enough for you.

I love to have you around, no doubt. Most of my happy moments were spent with you. But sometimes, I do feel uncomfortable having you around. You do know that I' ve always think highly of you, and always expect great things from you; and you did prove me right, you are an awesome person =) As much as I like all your awesomeness and your great theories, there are times where I really feel intimidated (if that's the right word to put) by all your awesomeness. Nope, certainly not your fault. I strongly believe in nothing wrong with being awesome, rather the more we should look up to them.

All these years of friendship, I've been learning things from you. You inspired me to read (I've actually pick up reading and I'm loving it), you helped me so much in my spiritual growth, I gained extra knowledge from you, yada yada..the list can go on till we both go up to heaven. You see right, you are wise, smart, with brains, bold...etc. Sometimes, I really don't know how to react around you? I don't feel stupid or dumb la, but more of useless? I mean, not to the extent of good for nothing la. Is like I can't do much for you? Things I know, you already knew; I can't give you much advice because I know very little, and if I do know, is all head knowledge which you would have already know long before me.

It's my wish la to be the best friend I can be, be there when you need someone, you know, just being a friend? But most of the time, I didn't and I failed; on top of that, I treated you badly at times, which I really think you don't deserve any of it, after putting so much into this relationship. I've taken you for granted in many ways. My point is, sometimes I think I'm not good enough for you, I've done not enough. You thank me so much, but I actually did nothing. You needed help, but I wasn't there. You come up with ideas for my birthday every year, but I didn't do anything special for your birthday. See the difference? Nothing that I've done for you but worries and bad attitude. Sometimes, is just hard for me to be with you, I just don't know how to be your friend, and is freaking me out =(

I meant no harm in writing this. I thought I should let you know what am I going through, or went through. I do want you to know that I'm very very very very happy to meet you, to have you as my friend, to be part of your life. You mean lots to me, and I do love you very much. All I can say for now is I will keep trying to bring out the best in me, to do a friend's duty the best I can. If you've not know about this, it's always been my wish to make you proud and not fail you in anyways, which I've yet to do so. So yea, I think that's about it? I don't really know how to end this, I guess I'll just stop here for now. I love you.

The Black Hole

I actually starting to believe what Carmen said is true
Is not that I don't believe her la, is just sometimes when it comes to this issue, I don't agree 100%?
But I'm giving it a second thought now
My stomach is a black hole...
yeap, you heard me right, my stomach is a hole and a black one.
According to Carmen, I will not be full by just eating a plate of rice.
Since high school, she will always ask me the same question after we finish eating.
"You enough or not? You full or not? Want to add more?" It continues till today.
When I think back
I'm actually quite amazed by how much I can eat by myself.
Back I was in form 1 or 2, I used to call for delivery.
This is what I will order from pizza hut, 1 personal pan pizza, 1 soup, garlic bread, lasagna, chicken wings.
And if I was to order from Dominos, my order will be 1 regular pizza (so that I can have it with double decker cheese) and a cinnamon bread stick.
FYI, I finish everything by myself =) No joke.
I thought that I'm in the growing up stage, it's normal to eat more than usual?
But for my case, I guess I have to admit that eating more than usual is not just in the growing up stage.
But why a black hole? Because I become hungry again pretty fast, as in I feel like eating again, some snack or so. Not the hungry that your stomach will growl, just " I feel like eating, let's go eat."
There's once daddy and I went to mamak for a drink. And there's a Ramlee Burger stall there.
I can't decide between hot dog and branjol, I ended up ordering both, and I ate all both. (mind you that was after dinner 2hrs or so)
So yea, I guess Carmen is very right about me, Audrey's stomach is a black hole.

Note that despite the portion of food I eat, I do stop eating when I'm full or bloated.
Yes, I can be bloated and NOT WANT to eat anymore. Hole can be filled also k, even if it's a black one.

p/s: Since I'm talking about my stomach and food, I shall mention this too.

So there it was, we went lunch with daddy ^^

The thing is, there are times where I really want my mum with me.
Like literally "I want mummy! I want mummy!" "Where's my mum?"
Though I can't really answer to that sometimes, but I know mummy still loves Terri and I very much, even if she wasn't there and will not be there for us.

Wimbledon Men's Final

Andy Roddick vs Roger Federer

It was a tough match...
Both players holding on to their serve...

Roddick was at the top of the match...
By taking the first set and was leading 6-2 tie-break in the 2nd set...

Federer came back after saving 4 set points
and took the tie-break 8-6 to level the scores

After 4hrs 30mins, the match was finally sealed.
Federer's dramatical and remarkable 5-7 7-6 (8/6) 7-6 (7/5) 3-6 16-14 win over Roddick, as the American committed a forehand error and a forehand off.

Federer regained his title and the cup after having defeated by Rafael Nadal last year, making it his 6th Wimbledon and 15th grand slam title.

An upset Roddick, who had put up a good match against Federer.
He's certainly the better player for the match...

Friends around me will know that I can't cook, and I can't bake.
Shame on me, I know.
All these years, it didn't bother me much,
after all there's so much more than cooking and baking right.
You will often hear replies like this from me:

That was then...But

I'm not sure if that is okay now.

It Seems to Last Forever

Daddy: Cari makan la, catch those cars double line crossing.
Audrey: How they know? They can see from far?
Daddy: They got someone hiding around there, then will inform the police at the front.
Audrey: *looking out for the hidden policeman around the double line area* (obviously can't see any)

A BMW drove pass us, crossed at the double line area

Daddy: Aha, that BMW sure will be stopped by the policeman
Audrey: *very excited to see what will happen to the BMW*

We slowed down and drove on the "slow lane" (the most left lane)
just to see if the BMW is stopped by the policeman. (Malysians...)
True enough, the BMW was stopped and was directed to the side.

Audrey: *laughs* the BMW so unlucky. *continues to laugh* (evil me, I know)

Terri, William, Audrey

This is my 6 years old brother, William, turning 6 in September
Just a note for those who don't really know my family background
Daddy and Mummy were separated when I was 4,
Mummy remarried, and this is how I got my little brother.

He's so cute right

William got himself a gameboy recently
He's been asking for it, since months ago?
Obviously, Mummy can't take it anymore, so
she bugged me and Terri to find the gameboy for him.
We went out on labour's day, first to The Curve and then to Subang Parade.
The only gameboy we found at Curve was either a psp or a nintendo,
which mummy doesn't agree to buy.
So we went to Subang Parade, straight to the digital area.
There, in a game shop, we found the gameboy he's been dreaming of.
It maybe outdated, but who cares as long as my brother loves it.
His happy face in the picture above says it all.

It was also our mother-daughter hang out day
We were supposed to shop and dine.
Well, we didn't buy much.
Mum got herself a wallet, she got me a uno stacko, terri got to eat pork belly from Kissaten.
Mummy initially wanted to get me the Paris Hilton bag which I like, but I said no.
I like the bag la, but it's not worth to buy.
So, no Paris Hilton bag. (I'm regretting now)
Never mind, I still got a consolation prize.
Uno stacko and Dinner at Kissaten, which made me equally happy.
In case you didn't know, Kissaten is my favourite restaurant for now.

Daddy's Silent Treatment

Alright, my dad is not very happy with me because I didn't go back to Johor with him during the weekends.
I've good reasons on that.
I've test coming up and I want to stay home and study.
Obviously he thinks that I've lied to him,
which I will now honestly confess
yes I did, partly.
Staying home and study is real, I did do my revision.
but that's just a minor reason.
The truth is I don't want to go back, don't want, don't want, don't want.
I don't like going to grandma's, except during Chinese New Year.

Why?
I'm not close with either my grandma or my aunt.
(This aunt of mine stays together with grandma, she's a psycho.)
Grandma's place is BORING!!!
I don't feel comfortable there, nothing to do and many restrictions.
They always have issues and conflicts, they can never live in peace and harmony.
(You should see them in action when all of them are together.)
I just don't want to spend my weekends feeling bored, wasting it at grandma's

So, daddy is still pissed and is ain't talking much to me.

It all started from the sms I received from my friend last night and my reply to it.
The sms was about MU's dramatic 3-2 win over Aston Villa.
For my friend, it's a great news, that's certain.
My reply was: But I don't like to see MU win.
Huh?

My reason is:
MU has too many supporters, at least most of my friends are, and

Went for ice skating after class with my classmates.
It's been 7 years since the last time I stepped into the ice ring.

Yeap, I got a sms from my dad.
Was shock at first, really really shock.

Went to pay my saman
Drove all the way to Sri Kembangan
Because the sergeant said so,
"bayaran dan rayuan kena buat di Balai Polis Cawangan Sri Kembangan"
we civilians of course follow his instruction yes?
Arrived at Sri Kembangan's police station
Didn't see any officer, only a few clerks (whatever you call, all they do is type and type and type)
Neither did they look at us or the saman
straight away they told us to go back Puchong to pay the saman,
in a rude manner, very very rude manner.

Never like government servants,
especially the *er hem* (you know who)
I'm not racist
just that the service they provide is really BAD!!!

Back from Raub for more than a week
It was my first mission trip
I wasn't interested to go at first
But I felt that I should go, at least once
And I'm glad that I did
It wasn't easy for me
especially speaking in BM
what more sharing in Bahasa.
Few days before the trip
I thought of finding a lame excuse to pull out.
But none came into my mind.

I gained many first experiences in this trip.
I visited the orang asli, experienced their lives, played with the kids
ate babi hutan, ate with my hand, shared in BM,
saw a big porcupine as a pet with my own eyes (I'm a jakoon)
the cheapest ais-kacang I ever had, etc...

It was more of me getting bless by the people there
rather than me blessing them.
I learned so much from them, from the pastor.
Their faith, sincerity, kindness,warmness and so much more.
God was real, and is always real.
If it wasn't for this trip
I wouldn't be certain that He is always by my side.
Years of attending church and listening to the pastors,
"God's always with you" gradually became a theory, and less real to me.
But now, I'm assured that His is always there with me.
I'm looking forward to go again, I want to visit them again.

I wonder if humans were meant to be hypocrites
If so, should we all be criticized?
I was told that we should always walk the talk,
be honest and frank.
If there's a problem, we solve it out
we do not sweep things under the carpet.

But as I grow up
I learned that we can't just say or do whatever we like
There are words that are not allow to say,
actions that are not allow to do.
There are times where you just have to
swallow the situation given to you, like it or not.
If only saying no or turning down a favor were as easy as breathing
If only we could choose what we like to do and what we don't
If only there's a clear distinguish between black and white.

Don't give me "that's part of life..." phrase because
I'm not happy with taking a "yes" for everything
I want to do more things I like, do less things I dislike
